Comprehensive Clinical Research Network

The NIHR Comprehensive Clinical Research Network (CCRN) provides a world-class research infrastructure embedded in the NHS to support participation in high quality clinical research studies across England.

The CCRN is made up of 25 Comprehensive Local Research Networks (CLRNs) which cover the whole of England by region. These locally based Research Networks coordinate and facilitate the conduct of clinical research and provide a wide range of support to the local research community.

Advice and support regarding Research Management and Governance (RM&G) is provided by the CCRN. Local RM&G contact details are included on our CLRN web pages. Click on the map opposite to find out more information from your CLRN.

Our aim is to widen participation in research and ensure that patients and healthcare professionals from all parts of the country are able to participate in, and benefit from, clinical research in all areas of disease and healthcare.
