Miss Saaeha Rauz is a Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Academic Unit of Ophthalmology, School of Immunity and Infection, University of Birmingham and a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre.

Background
The BBC CLRN Specialty Group for Ophthalmology has been established to connect Healthcare professionals working throughout the region who are interested or are involved in clinical Ophthalmology research.

The group comprises local interested individuals and meets regularly to coordinate activity, projects and share resources and information. Anyone interested in clinical Ophthalmology research is welcome to participate in the group and should contact the Local Specialty Group Leads for further information.

Overall Aims
Our overall aims are to foster and encourage clinical research in Ophthalmology, within (but not restricted to) the NIHR CRN Portfolio, by including clinicians, scientists, other professional groups and representatives.
