Specialty Group Lead for Renal

Dr Indranil Dasgupta
Dr Dasgupta is a Consultant in Renal Medicine at the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham. He is also an accredited Clinical Hypertension Specialist for the European Society of Hypertension. Dr Dasgupta's particular interests include renal bone disease management, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and predialysis care.

Background
The BBC CLRN Specialty Group for Renal has been established to connect Healthcare professionals working throughout the region who are interested or are involved in clinical Renal research.

The group comprises local interested individuals and meets regularly to coordinate activity, projects and share resources and information. Anyone interested in clinical Renal research is welcome to participate in the group and should contact the Local Specialty Group Lead for further information.

Overall Aims
Our overall aims are to encourage and, where possible, support participation in research amongst doctors, nurses and allied health professionals who work within the field of Renal medicine.

    To provide information for patients and healthcare professionals on all aspects relating to blood pressure

  • British Hypertension Society (BHS)

    Provides a medical and scientific research forum to enable sharing of cutting edge research in order to understand the origin of high blood pressure and improve its treatment.
