My name is Helena Prady and I have been working in research for just over 9 years. I am a registered General and Sick Children’s Nurse.
I have worked as a Senior Research Nurse for the Greater Manchester, Lancashire and South Cumbria Medicines for Children Research Network, where I managed a team of research nurses, co-ordinated several paediatric studies, ensured quality research and provided training.
I have always been interested in training and Education and so was keen to take this role as Clinical Research Practice Educator with the C&L CLRN which I started in early February.
C&L CLRN are keen to ensure that, with this brand new post, we can make research training more accessible to the researchers of Cumbria and Lancashire working on NIHR studies.
I am one of the local NIHR GCP facilitators for C&L, and we can provide the NIHR Introduction to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Introduction to GCP in a Paediatric Setting and a half day GCP update (for staff who require a GCP update) on a regular basis.
I will be working as a research nurse on NIHR portfolio studies to sharpen my knowledge.
Please do contact me with ideas for training opportunities or links to information you require.
I get cabin fever if I stay in the office for too long, so please feel free to contact me with ideas for training opportunities, or to discuss your training needs.
