The Cumbria and Lancashire CLRN is led by a Clinical Director and supported by a Senior Manager and Executive Group.

| | The Cumbria and Lancashire CLRN Director is Professor John Goodacre. John is Professor of Musculoskeletal Science and head of Postgraduate Medicine at the School of Health Medicine, Lancaster University. He is also lead convenor of the Cumbria and Lancashire CLRN’s Musculoskeletal Specialty Group. Furthermore, he is a member of several EU Framework Programme research panels. He also acts as the UK advisor to the Government of Bulgaria’s strategic planning and funding for biomedical science and clinical research. John’s specialist areas of knowledge and expertise lie within musculoskeletal science. However, his responsibilities have encompassed a wide range of clinical and scientific disciplines and initiatives. He has extensive experience in planning, leadership and governance, and is focusing his skills upon the task of facilitating high quality clinical research across Cumbria and Lancashire. |
| Core Team The Core Team at Cumbria and Lancashire CLRN is led by the Senior Manager is John Wardle, supported by the RM&G Team Leader; Jillian Martin. John and Jillian also work closely with Nicky Dooley; RM&G Co-ordinator. But our core team does not just include RM&G - our Industry Clinical Trials Manager; Lesley Hutt, leads our Trials Team. Our Information Manager is Jonathan Aitchison, our Accountant is Matthew Johns and Margaret Johnson is the CLRN Office Co-ordinator. |
