31st October - Sir Jimmy Saville (1926 - 2011)

We would like to give our condolences to the family of Sir Jimmy Saville who sadly passed away at the weekend. We would also like to thank Sir Jimmy for all the hard work he has done for raising awareness and money for medical research.

10th October - First Recruit to New Study in England

NCRN264 VALOR Trial - Congratulations go to Dr Paul Cahalin, Consultant Haematologist at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and his team for recruiting the first patient nationally to this clinical trial.

4th October - New Admin Support Staff

We at Cumbria and Lancashire would like to give a big welcome to our new starter Jean. She is taking over the role that Hannah Calvers played during the summer of 2011 and will be assisting all roles in various capacities for the oncoming months.

26th August - Hannah Calvers Leaves

A big thank you from all at the CLRN (and especially from Jonathan Aitchison) for all her excellent work she has done for the CLRN. As you may have noticed, our website has significantly improved over the last few months, where Hannah played a significant part in the design, layout and update.

26th July 2011 - Dr Jane Pearson Secondment

Moving from GM CLRN to a secondment in Cumbria & Lancashire

Jane PearsonDr Jane Pearson (pictured), GM CLRN RM&G Lead, has accepted a secondment at Cumbria and Lancashire CLRN (C&L CLRN).

The secondment will start on 1 August 2011 and Jane will be based at C&L CLRN offices in Preston.

We look forward to Jane working with us.
