Supporting researchers
Find out about the support available to researchers when setting up a clinical trial.
Researchers are able to access information about support available to them during the planning, set-up and delivery phase of a study.
An important part of the support is the provision of the coordinated network support which facilitates the researcher’s ‘journey’ when setting up non‐industry contract multi‐centre clinical research studies. Please see link: http:\\www.crncc.nihr.ac.uk\researchers\study-setup-support\index
Coordinated networks support provides help with the following;
- identifying the elements of support that should be provided by the Networks for a study (i.e. service support
- liaising, on behalf of the CI, with other relevant NIHR Clinical Research Networks to confirm that this support will be provided at each of the recruiting centres
- and keeping the CI informed of progress at the other NIHR Clinical Research Networks.
This all works to ensure sites are set up in a timely manner and that any problems throughout the duration of the study are resolved.
