Metabolic & Endocrine and DRN

Metabolic & Endocrine disorders cover a wide range of clinical conditions, including, but not limited to; Adrenal, Dislipidaemia, Genetics, Imaging, Obesity, Metabolic bone disease, Pituitary, Nutritional studies, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Reproductive Endocrinology, Surgery for endocrine disorders, Bariatric surgery for Obesity and Thyroid disorders.

By their nature, these may have significant overlap with other Speciality Groups and also with some of the NIHR Topic Specific Clinical Research Networks. The Metabolic and Endocrine Specialty Group has wide geographical coverage with CLRN representatives from England as well as from both Scotland and Wales. At any one time there are over 50 active studies which fall within the remit of the Group with over 1500 patients enrolled across the network.
