Professor Paul Jones appointed as Chair for London (S) CLRN Board

Newly appointed Chair of London South CLRN, Professor Paul JonesFollowing a nomination process beginning early this year, the London (S) Comprehensive Local Research Network (CLRN) is delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Paul Jones as the new Chair of the London (S) CLRN Board.

Professor Jones, a Professor of Respiratory Medicine and Head of the Division of Clinical Science, St George’s University of London, was announced as Chair at the last board meeting on 2 March 2011.

Professor Jones has previously been Medical Director at St George’s NHS Healthcare Trust and the Joint R&D Director across the University and Trust. His research is principally in health status measurement and symptom quantification and he is an active clinical trialist.

Speaking on his appointment Professor Jones said; “I would like to thank the board members for their confidence in me, by nominating me as Chair.
“There are a number of challenges facing research across south London and I am looking forward to taking these on with the London (S) CLRN board and executive team”.

London (S) CLRN Clinical Director, Dr Stephen Devereux said; “We are delighted that Professor Jones has been nominated as our new chair. His breadth of experience and knowledge, will bring added benefit to our network and we look forward to working with him.”
