The National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Research Design Service for Yorkshire & the Humber (RDS YH) supports researchers to develop and design high quality research proposals for submission to the NIHR and other national, peer-reviewed funding competitions for applied health or social care research. This support is provided free of charge.

Sheffield Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre
Sheffield ECMC aims to identify biomarkers associated with genetic susceptibility to cancer, carcinogenesis, disease progression and response to treatment, with the objective of developing and introducing new cancer tests and treatments.
Specialist areas of activity are bone oncology, vascular targeting and genetic instability. The Centre has facilities for imaging, flow cytometry, DNA sequencing and histopathology.
