National Specialty Groups

The enthusiasm and expertise of researchers in the specialties that they are dedicated to is key to the success of the CCRN.

To harness this, CCRN has created national Specialty Groups to provide:

  • national networks of expertise across all areas of healthcare
  • regional groups linking into the national networks
  • advice and expertise from the relevant experts about the delivery of research studies
  • opportunities for researchers to access wider patient populations for their multicentre studies and for patients to access research studies at new recruitment sites
  • opportunities for researchers to contribute to national and international studies being led by other researchers
  • local provision of infrastructure which is sufficient to support studies in a particular specialty
  • assistance in raising the profile of research.
