"Kidney disease has a major impact on patient's lives. Kidney research is essential so that we are better able to prevent and treat what can be a debilitating condition. It is very important that everyone feels able to participate in research at some level and the national Renal Specialty Group seeks to support this."
Dr Martin Wilkie, South Yorkshire lead, NIHR Renal Specialty Group
“The Specialty Groups offer us, for the first time, a national approach to coordinating research in an ethically and practically challenging environment, offering great opportunities for clinicians to contribute to research at many levels.
