Studies which may be registered with ISRCTN but are NOT eligible for free registration

We encourage ISRCTN registration of industry-supported industry-sponsored, observational and devolved nations1 studies via the Portfolio database. However, the DH will not fund the registration of these studies. If you choose to register we will flag this to Current Controlled Trials who will invoice the primary study Sponsor (as provided through CSP/during NIHR Clinical Research Network support eligibility process) for the full registration fee.

For up to date details on the ISRCTN registration fee go to www.controlled-trials.com/isrctn/submission/.

¹ Devolved nations studies are those studies included on the UK CRN Portfolio database that don’t have English sites
